Mr. Jalaluddin Akbar, IFS, Conservator of Forests (Production) in the office of Principal Chief Conservator of Forests has been transferred and posted as Special Officer of Telangana Wakf Board with immediate effect. His appointment is for a period of one year. He belongs to 1999 batch of IFS officers.
Dr. Rajiv Sharma, IAS, Chief Secretary issued GO.Rt.No 73 yesterday appointing him as Special Officer. It has been mentioned in the GO that he will exercise all the powers delegated to him as per the Wakf Act.
It may be noted that Mr. Mohammed Jalaluddin Akbar was appointed as Govt. nominee on Wakf Board in September 2013 for a short period. He will relieve Mr. Shaik Mohammed Iqbal, IPS, who was holding additional charge of this post. The tenure of office of Mr. Iqbal ended on 18th June. He will continue to function as Commissioner of Minorities Welfare.
