Mr. Chandrababu Naidu is engaged in preparing TDP leaders to take positive stand on Telangana

(Siasat News)There is a possibility that TDP will forward another letter to Govt. of India in support of Telangana State. Party has already begun negotiations in this regard. Mr. Naidu is busy to mould the minds of his party leaders in support of separate Telangana State.

Kovvur TDP MLA, Mr. T.V.Rama Rao told that all the TDP MLA’s of Seema Andhra Region will present a memorandum signed by them to TDP president Mr. N.Chandrababu Naidu supporting separate Telangana State.

Mr. Naidu is also engaged in mustering support on declaring 100 Assembly seats for B.C’s and on the policy of the handicapped persons.

In the election manifesto released on the occasion of 2009 elections, Mr. Naidu had announced his party’s support for the formation of a separate State for Telangana Region.

A letter was also sent to Mr. Pranab Mukerjee. After the declaration by Central Govt. on 9th December 2009 for the formation of separate Telangana State, Vijayawada M.P of Congress Party from Parliament, Mr. L.Rajagopal opposed the formation of Telangana State. Following this resignation of Congress M.P, the Seema Andhra MLA’s of TDP also offered their resignations to oppose Telangana State formation.

At that time, TDP was divided into two sections. Mr. Naidu had sought the support of the leaders of all the three regions earlier and had forwarded the consent letter to Mr. Muerkherjee. Mr. Naidu has started preparing for 2014 elections. He has, therefore, started announcing that the stand taken by TDP to support separate Telangana is not changed. Seema Andhra leaders are being pressurized not to oppose Telangana State, but to honor policies and principles. If the party changes it stand, it will give a wrong impression to the public. Some hard decisions are necessary for the party to get into power.

Seema Andhra leaders of TDP are apposing the formation of separate Telangana State but TDP chief is giving them assurance that TDP is stronger in Telangana. It will, therefore, be in the interest of TDP to support separate Telangana State. By doing so, the strategy of TDP will be successful in competing with YSR Congress Party.

Mr. Naidu has entrusted the task of mustering support in favor of separate Telangana to the senior leaders of TDP. It is understood that Mr. Naidu will send a letter to Central Govt. in support of Telangana on 17th September 2012. Mr. T.V.Rama Rao told that TDP has already decided in favor of Telangana.
