Hyderabad: Chief Minister of Telangana State, Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao told that he sticks to his promise for providing 12% reservation to Muslims and he is taking serious steps for its implementation. He also told that everyone knows that whenever he makes a promise, he fulfills it. He gave this assurance to Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily when he submitted a memorandum to him about 12% reservations for Muslims. Mr. KCR was addressing a gathering organized for Iftaar party yesterday at Nizam College ground. CM clarified that Govt. of Telangana constituted Sudheer Commission of Enquiry which would submit its report in a few days time. Soon after getting the report from Sudheer Commission, a special session of Telangana Assembly would be convened and a resolution would be passed for providing 12% reservation to Muslims which would be sent to center and it is hoped that Govt. of India would support it. He also said that after providing these reservations, Telangana would become an exemplary state not only for India but also for the entire world.
It may be mentioned that soon after his arrival Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao met everybody personally. When he met Mr. Amer Ali Khan, News Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, he told that he knows very well that Siasat and Mr. Amer Ali Khan. Mr. Amer Ali Khan presented a memorandum to CM about 12% reservations to Muslims. After receiving the memorandum, Mr. KCR assured that he would study it.
Later, Mr. KCR in his speech made a special reference about 12% reservation. The issue of 12% reservation for Muslims occupied major portion of his speech.
The positive effects of the campaign launched by Siasat Urdu Daily were clearly seen in the Iftaar Party held yesterday wherein many VIPs congratulated Mr. Amer Ali Khan for making representation to CM on this issue.
