Mr. Ahmedullah visits Shamsabad Airport on Saturday

Mr. S.M. Ahmedullah, minister for Minorities Welfare will visit Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamsabad on Saturday 21st September to review the arrangements made by the Airport Authorities for Hajj Pilgrims. Usually, the Airport Authorities arrange separate Hajj terminal for the pilgrims. Arrangements for Namaz etc, will also be made in that terminal. Mr. Ahmedullah told that he would visit the Airport along with Mr. Ahmed Nadeem, IAS, secretary of Minorities Welfare Department, Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Special officer for Hajj, Mr. M.A. Hameed, Executive Officer of Hajj Committee and other officials. The officers of GMR Company, Customs and Immigration will also be present on this occasion. The minister told that facilities would be provided for the persons who visit the Airport to bid farewell to their relatives going for Hajj. Separate tents would be arranged in view of the rainfall. The Hajj pilgrims would be transported in RTC buses from Hajj House to the Airport. Officials of Hajj Committee would be present at the Airport at the time of departure and arrival of Hajj pilgrims. It is expected that C.M. will flag off the first group of Hajj pilgrims on 25th September. The C.M. has to confirm about this program. Arrangements for Hajj camps are in progress and they are likely to be completed by 28th September. Govt. has instructed the contractors to complete their works three days before the commencement of Hajj camp. Mr. Ahmedullah also told that waterproof tents are being erected in the Hajj House. GHMC has been instructed to maintain cleanliness in an around Hajj House. Hajj pilgrims would start reporting on 23rd September.
