The counting of votes for the Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) and Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituency (MPTC) elections is going on amid tight security across the State.
The ZPTC and MPTC elections were held on April 6 and 11 respectively.
As per the initial trends, the Congress party is leading in Telangana region while the Telugu Desam Party is leading in Seemandhra region. Till Tuesday afternoon, the Congress party has won 468 seats followed by Telangana Rashtra Samithi with 432 seats and TDP with 184 seats.
Similarly, the TDP has won 1028 seats while the YSR Congress Party won 878 seats. The Congress party won only 29 seats in Seemandhra region. (INN)
