Mr. Hamid Mohammed Khan, President of Movement for Peace and Justice of A.P. in a press statement issued yesterday said that some miscreants are trying to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the city. Despite court orders to maintain ‘Status Quo’, construction activities of the temple at Charminar are continuing. By the silence of the Govt. and violation of court orders by the police, it becomes certain that Govt. and police have bowed down to the pressure exerted by the miscreants. Govt. should arrest and send them to jail those who are openly ridiculing court orders. If Govt. doesn’t send them to jail, there won’t be any doubt left out that administration and police are communal minded. It is regrettable that people already had less confidence in the law enforcing machinery. After the completion of the construction work of the temple, its image is tarnished further. He appealed to the C.M. to dead with the miscreants stiffly. In case of eruption of communal violence, Govt. would be held responsible.
