According to Khaja Moinuddin, General Secretary Movement for Peace and Justice AP, vice president Aleem Alhindi went to the usual visit to jails. At Chanchalguda jail he met the jailer and other supervisors. He sought information regarding the prisoners who despite completing their term were languishing in jail as they couldn’t afford to pay fine or are unaware of legal procedure.
The jailer identified 10 prisoners with good conduct. MPJ released them through legal action and financial help. Thus the total number of prisoners released from jail by MPJ in the month of December went upto 11. Counseling of the released persons was done at MPJ headquarter. They were also given traveling expenses to go to their houses.
