Bhopal, October 25 (Pervez Bari): The Bharatiya Janata Party ruled Madhya Pradesh Government signed two MoUs for investment worth Rs. 1,638 crore on Tuesday to give fillip to industrialisation in the state. The MoUs were signed in the presence of Chief Minister Mr. Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday.
The first MoU of Rs. 1500 crore was signed between Kalyani Forge Limited and Madhya Pradesh Trade and Investment Felicitation Corporation, (TRIFAC), while another one of Rs. 138 crore was inked between Kesar Multi-logistics Limited and State Agriculture Marketing Board.
Speaking on the occasion of signing of MoU between Kalyani Forge Limited and TRIFAC, Chief Minister Mr. Chouhan said that Madhya Pradesh is an ideal state from the point of view of investment. The state has registered 10 percent growth rate, which will be increased to 12 percent by 2013. For this, capital investment is being promoted in the state.
Mr. Chouhan said that the State Government will extend every possible assistance for establishment of new industries in Madhya Pradesh. The State Government’s intentions are clear in this connection and there are no complexities in it.
Mr. Baba Kalyani of Kalyani Group informed that his company will produce MTPA sponge iron near Shahdol and set up a 150 MW captive power plant. This is expected to provide direct employment to 250 persons and indirect employment to one thousand persons.
It may be mentioned that Kalyani Forge Limited will invest Rs. 1500 crore during three years in and around Shahdol. The Commerce and Industries Minister Mr. Kailash Vijayvargiya and Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Resources Mr. Rajendra Shukla were also present on the occasion.
Kalyani Forge is a leading world-level company in the production of forged and mechanised auto parts. The MoU was signed by TRIFACT Managing Director Mr. P.K. Das and Kalyan Forge’s Executive Director Mr. Sunil Chaturvedi.
Meanwhile, Kesar Multi-modal Logistics Hub will be developed at a cost of Rs. 138 crore on 88 acres of land at village Pawarkhera near Itarsi in Hoshangabad by Madhya Pradesh State Agriculture Marketing Board under PPP Mode.
An MoU for this project was signed between company’s chairman Mr. Harsh Kilachand Mehta and Madhya Pradesh State Agriculture Marketing Board’s Managing Director Mr. Ajat Shatru. Commerce and Industries Minister Mr. Kailash Vijayvargiya and Agriculture Development Minister Mr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria were also present on the occasion. (pervezbari@eth.net)
