MP Govt. releases 1st installment of Rs. 30 cr. for Simhast at Ujjain

Bhopal, September 14 (Pervez Bari): The Madhya Pradesh Government has released the first installment of Rs. 30 crore for various works to be undertaken to Simhast to be held in 2016 at Jyotirlinga pilgrimage-Ujjain.

The formal announcement about sanction of the installment was made by Urban Administration and Development Minister Mr. Babulal Gaur at a review meeting in this connection at Ujjain on Monday. On the occasion, Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Mr. Paras Chandra Jain issued instructions for completing some main roads of Ujjain city soon on priority basis.

At the meeting, Mr. Babulal Gaur instructed to allocate the sanctioned amount to the Municipal Corporation, Public Works Department and Energy Department for starting various works related to Simahast-2016 on priority basis. He also informed that review of the works undertaken utilising this amount will be made in the next meeting and as per requirement, a sum of Rs. 30 crore more will be sanctioned during the current fiscal itself. Mr. Gaur instructed EPCO to open its office at Ujjain positively by October 1 for chalking out Simhast Master Plan and complete the works with the coordination of divisional commissioner within stipulated time.

Mr. Paras Chandra Jain instructed to complete construction of road from Harsiddhi Mata Mandir to Chaubis Khamba Road and the road connecting Ram Janardan Mandir with Bhairavgarh soon on priority basis.

At the meeting, action plan-wise and department-wise information was given through power point presentation. It was informed in this connection that DPR prepared by the Municipal Corporation for six sanctioned works has been sent to the Urban Administration Department for approval. Out of these, DPR for Agar Road has been approved so far. Payment of a sum of Rs. 21.87 lakh has been made to EPCO for chalking out Simhast Master Plan and it will complete this plan by March 2012. Besides, work of DPRs for two works costing Rs. 3.71 crore under Water Resources Department have been sent to the chief engineer for approval. Similarly, DPRs for development of ten Ghats are also being prepared.

Member of Parliament Mr. Premchand Guddu, Ujjain Mayor Mr. Rameshwar Akhand, Chairman of Tourism Development Corporation Dr. Mohan Yadav, area MLAs, several senior officers of the State Government and officers of district administration were present on the occasion. (pervezbari@eth.net)
