MP to establish nine new polytechnic colleges

Bhopal, July 29: With a view to producing technical man-power in accordance with the needs of the industries coming up in the state, the Madhya Pradesh government will establish nine new polytechnic colleges in the state.

Giving this information here today, Principal Secretary, Technical Education and Training, Pukhraj Maru informed that the State Government has accorded sanction for establishment of these polytechnic colleges under a centrally sponsored scheme, an official release said here today. With this, the sanction has also been accorded for creation of different posts for academic staff, other staff, technical assistant staff and office staff for these proposed polytechnic colleges.

Dr Maru further stated that the polytechnics to be established under the centrally sponsored scheme ‘Sub-Mission On Polytechnics Under Co-ordinated Action For Skill Development’ will come up at Datia, Umaria, Mandsaur, Shajapur, Dewas, Raisen, Katni, Anuppur and Alirajpur. Out of the total 423 posts sanctioned for these proposed technical institutions, permission has been accorded to fill up one-third posts in the first year of establishment of these colleges.
