Indore, December 04: Sami Ullah Beigh’s valiant half century went in vain as Madhya Pradesh humiliated Jammu and Kashmir by an innings and 48 runs to keep their hopes of reaching the Ranji Trophy Super League knockout stage alive here today.
Resuming at overnight 206/7, Jammu and Kashmir started off were bowled out for 300 runs.
In the morning, Jammu and Kashmir lost their first wicket at 221 when Abid Nabi (4) was run out due to a misunderstanding with his partner Sami Ullah Beigh (51 not out). Raman Dutta played a brilliant innings and gave good support to Beigh.
At the other end, Beigh (51 not out) watched as wickets tumbled around him.
T Sudheendra took Dutta’s wicket when he had him caught at mid off by Devendra Bundela for 19.
