Hyderabad, April 17: Packaging several features, including private browsing, instant website ID and other features, Mozilla Corporation launched Mozilla Firefox 4, a free and open source web browser for both desktop and mobile users here on Saturday.
The new Firefox 4 version can be downloaded from www.mozilla.com or www.getfirefox.com websites.
Providing a streamlined user interface, lot of fun features at high speed, Firefox 4 offers customisable browsing experience. However, these features are restricted to select mobile software operating system, said Robert Sayre, Engineering Director, Mozilla Corporation.
Android mobile users can customise several options, including placement of search engine icons. This apart, they can share content through social networking sites, email, Bluetooth etc using the new browser, he explained.
Firefox 4 makes browsing altogether a different experience. With features like Awesome Bar, a user can track the URLs despite forgetting their names. The organisation also launched www.mozilla.org, its official community website to promote the open web and about its projects.
