MovieTime Cinemas announces expansion in south India

New Delhi [India]: Among the largest and fastest-growing cinema chains in the country, MovieTime Cinemas, on Monday announced its expansion in Hyderabad.

The objective of the company is to create 100 screens in south India by 2020.

MovieTime will incorporate five Audis, and 230 recliners well equipped with technology and innovation to offer a modified theatre division and powerful digital sound system, in order to craft an exceptional environment for cinema lovers.

Alongside, an exclusion pick of on-seat ‘Cine dining’ service will be accessible inside the Audi with service on seat, and a la carte menu to order from.

“We are pleased to announce our expansion in south India and our aim to provide the magic of movies in urban and semi- urban parts of the country,” said head of business development and operations, MovieTime Cinemas, Ankit Kapoor.

“We believe, as a market, south India encompasses a huge potential for us and with price capping in almost all the states of south, we are looking at good footfalls with improved share of food and beverage. These new screens will provide the best-in-class, seamless and sophisticated movie-viewing experience, and with this we envision establishing 100 screens in south by 2020,” he added.

Considering that Telugu movies are in massive demand amongst movie buffs, the brand wants to continue its slew of expansion in this region of south India with an aim to spread out in tier 1 cities followed by tier 2 and 3 cities. (ANI)
