Move privilege motion against Naidu for double standards: TRS

Hyderabad, August 31: Telangana Rashtra Samiti MLA K Taraka Rama Rao on Tuesday asked Telugu Desam Telangana Forum members to move privilege motion against TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu for adopting double standards on bifurcation of statehood issue instead of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairman Prof M Kodandaram.

Condemning Telugu Desam Telangana Forum members plan to move privilege motion and lodging SC/STs Atrocious complaint against TPJAC Chairman Prof M Kodandaram for making provocative remarks against Telangana leaders, Taraka Rama Rao asked Telangana Forum members to move privilege motion on Naidu for adopting double standards.

Talking to media persons at Telangana Bhavan, Taraka Rama Rao warned Forum members of serious consequences if they move privilege motion against Kodandaram and demanded that Telangana leaders book case against Chandrababu Naidu under section 420 for failing to honour Telangana statehood promise.

Suspecting the commitment of Forum members towards Telangana state, he said Kodandaram did no mistake by questioning the Telangana leaders who failed to resign to their posts. He asked why TDP chief Naidu failed to introduce no confidence motion against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy despite stating Congress as poisonous tree. If he has any commitment towards welfare of people, Naidu must introduce no trust motion against government, he demanded.

The TRS leader advised Telangana Congress Ministers not to attend duties as it would send wrong message among people of region.
