London: Chelsea’s embattled manager Jose Mourinho has called on his squad to display ‘unbelievable passion’ and insisted that some of his players need to rethink the way they approach football as their profession.
Defending champion Chelsea stand just a point above the relegation zone after they suffered a 2-1 defeat against table leaders Leicester City on Monday. This was their ninth defeat of the Premier League, which triggered speculations that the Portuguese coach could be sacked.
Mourinho said that some of his players need to rethink the way they live their job while playing for Chelsea, adding that every match on the pitch should be played with an unbelievable passion, goal.com reported.
Following the defeat at the hands of Leicester, Mourinho said that he felt betrayed in view of his players’ failure to carry out his game plan. (ANI)
