Medical and cancer awareness camp was organized by Minority Development Forum with the cooperation of Siasat Urdu Daily and American Oncology Institute at Sana Garden Function Hall, near Charminar yesterday. Nearly 1500 patients registered their names for the camp.
This is the first camp in which the doctors and medical staff of American institute highlighted people about taking precautions from getting the attacks of Cancer. Mr. M.M Yousuf, Chairman of Minority Development Forum inaugurated the camp. He told that MDF is actively engaged in various fields for the development of minorities under the stewardship of Mr.Zahid Ali khan, Editor of Siasat and Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat.
He further told that MDF is actively involved in education and health programmes for the benefit of the Muslims. At the same time, it is working for moulding the minds of the Muslims through its Islaah-e-Muashira(reformation of society) movement. Matrimonial alliances of the Muslim boys and girls are arranged through Du-Ba-Du programmes.
Dr. Balaji, Director of Admission of American Institute of Oncology released the CD prepared on Canser. Mr. Rajesh Executive Director of the institute told that in order to save from cancer, people should avoid tobacco, wine and other intoxicants. He told that if cancer is detected at the early stage, it is possible to cure it . He emphasized women to give preference to their health and hygiene.
Dr. S.A Majeed, Chairman of Health Committee of MDF welcomed the guests and said that MDF organizes medical camps at various places. So far, thousands of persons have benefited from these camps.
This is the first camp through which cancer awareness programme is organized. Patients were advised to contact American Institute of Oncology for further treatment. Poor patients are provided free test and diagnosis faciliities on the basis of the recommendation made by MDF.
Mr. Abid Siddiqui, Vice President of MDF told that the Forum has paid more attention on education, health, employment and reformation of society. As a result of the efforts of MDF, changes are taking places among the Muslims .
