Mould Students On Intl Model: KCR Tells Teachers

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao today asserted that a common education system will be in place with a thorough overhaul and revamp of existing education system.

During a discussion with 16 Teachers’ unions at Secretariat on making changes to the education policy, KCR assured that all teachers would work under uniform service rules. The Telangana State would maintain international standards on par with that of the US and the Great Britain, wherein President’s son is also among others learning in a common school. He said offering KG to PG education free of cost was his dream and hoped that it would be implemented in phased manner.

A meeting of teachers, lecturers, professors and educationists will be held on its implementation, he said, adding that his government would find solutions to the problems related to teachers and schools and colleges, but they have to work for changing policy from next academic year. KCR attributed the present bad condition of government schools to the policies of successive governments and with no other go parents are opting for private schools. He also said all Anganwadi centers in the State will be made into Play schools to cater to the rural educational needs.
