New Delhi [India]: Vivek Chaand Sehgal, chairman of the Motherson Sumi Systems Limited ( MSSL), has recently been named the EY Entrepreneur of 2016 for its outstanding contribution in the world of entrepreneurship.
Sehgal will now represent India at the EY World Entrepreneur of the Year Award (WEOY) in Monte Carlo from June 7 to 11 where he will compete with business leaders from around the world.
The awards were presented by Power Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of Commerce and Industry Nirmala Sitharaman.
Nandan Nilekani, co-founder, Infosys, was also honoured with the lifetime achievement award for his invaluable contribution to the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) – the Aadhaar initiative, which is a pioneering citizen identification program, unparalleled in scope and scale worldwide.
