On Monday, a 25-year-old tribal married woman was allegedly gangraped by two youth near Ganeswaram village in Khammam district.
On the word of reports, Ajmeera Rama, 28, and Maloth Mangilal, 20, chased the woman on a bike when she was going to her agricultural field. When they found no one in the environs, they took her against her will to a remote area and raped her. Ajmeera is a mother of two children.
The victim returned to the village and told villagers about the incident. Her relatives lay into the house of Rama. Police stopped them before they could attack Mangilal’s house.
Dowry Harassment forced women to end life
On Monday at Vajpayee Nagar, Neredmet, a woman committed suicide unable to bear the harassment for additional dowry. The victim is identified as C. Meena, 23, wife of Satish, was working at a private firm.
