Bhadoi (UP), April 27: A mother and her son died and another person was injured when the family members were attacked by unidentified persons in Gopiganj area, police said here today.
Balni Devi (52), her son Sunil (14) and sister Avtari Devi (55) were seriously injured when the assailants attacked them with bricks in Beraspur village late last night, Superintendent of Police Gyaneshwar Tiwari said.
He said that the injured were admitted to the hospital where Balni died this morning.
Sunil and Avtari were referred to Allahabad where the boy also died, he said, adding that prima facie illicit relationship seems to be the reason behind the attack.
