In an appalling incident a mother killed her 8-month-old child. Mother Reshma alias Mallamma and her friend J Saddaiah have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody. Inspector Kulsoompura Mr. R M Rao told that police got alerted by seeing a crowd of some people at Puranapul. When enquired it was found that a man and a woman heavily drunk were trying to throttle child’s neck. Angry crowd informed police and rescued the child with the help of police. The child was rushed to Niloufer Hospital. However Reshma alias Mallamma and J Saddaiah fled. The child died yesterday night. Reshma alias Mallamma was the wife of Aziz R/O Ziaguda. On August 28 when Mallamma went to drink toddy her friend Saddaiah was also present there. Reason behind child’s murder could not be ascertained.
