Jamuna nagar, September 12: A dispute between two communities took a new turn at Jamuna nagar. Muslims expressed helplessness on leaving the village in case construction of mosque is not permitted. District administration formed a committee comprising of Muslim and Hindu members in an attempt of reconciliation between the two communities.
Muslims want to construct a mosque inside the village while the Hindus insist on constructing the mosque outside the village as they have objection on constructing house of worship inside the village, since the temple is also located outside the inhabiting area.
Muslims especially Dilshan and Shahabuddin who represent the community have told that if they are not given permission to construct the mosque they have no choice but to leave the village as some unscrupulous elements threatened to make attack on their family members. “We don’t blame the whole Hindu community but we have a dread from some unscrupulous elements.” They said. “They have hinted to target our homes.”
