Srinagar, December 17: A mosque and two shops were gutted in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said here today.
They said fire broke out in a mosque at Naidyar Rainawari in the down town city. However, the fire was brought under control before it could completely damage the place of worship, they said adding the third floor of the mosque was damaged.
The cause of the fire was not known, they said adding no one was injured. Meanwhile, fire broke out at Rozbal Khanyar in the wood carving shop and cosmetic shop of Ali Mohammad Sheikh and Ashiq Ahmad Lone causing extensive damage to both the shops.
