Morris basks in South Africa’s thrilling win over England

Johannesburg : South Africa all-rounder Chris Morris has described his inspirational performance during his side’s nail-biting one-wicket win over England in the fourth one-day international as one of the most memorable moments of his cricketing career.

Morris, who scored a career-best innings of 62 off 38 balls, rescued his side from the jaws of defeat on and levelled the five-match series 2-2 in Johannesburg on Friday.

The 28-year-old said he had been working hard to improve his credentials as a batman, adding that he was satisfied to see the work in the nets paying off towards the team’s cause, Sport24 reported.

With the win, the series goes into a mouth-watering decider which will be played at Newlands on Sunday. (ANI)
