London, July 30 : Hollywood veteran actor Morgan Freeman, American comedian Jack Black and actress Natasha Lyonne have stepped forward to back US President Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran via video.
The American stars expressed their support for recent nuclear deal in a way to persuade legislators to get the agreement through Congress when it goes to the vote in September, the Guardian reported.
Notably, Freeman said in the clip “the agreement on the table is the best way to insure that Iran doesn’t build a f–king bomb”.
In addition to this, former CIA agent Valerie Plame, Queen Noor of Jordan and retired US Ambassador Thomas R Pickering also urged Americans to support the agreement.
The Iran nuclear agreement, which was reached recently after a long period of international negotiations, seeks to prevent the country from developing a bomb for at least a decade, as well as allowing for inspections of Iran’s facilities in exchange for sanctions relief. (ANI)
