Statues and busts of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy will be installed in 150 villages of Chandragiri Assembly Constituency in Chittoor district ahead of the great leader’s death anniversary which falls on September 2. Special pujas were offered to about 150 statues of YSR amidst vedic hymns at the Central Party office here with a galaxy of leaders attending the function.
Since YSR has been in the hearts of people and his schemes are being deleted or diluted one by one, it is people’s wish to have the departed leader’s statue in their respective villages, Chavireddy Bhaskar Reddy, who is the Party in-charge of Chandragiri said.
The statues and busts will be installed in memory of the great leader as a mark of respect at every gram panchayat, he said.
Party leaders Y V Subba Reddy, B Sobha Nagi Reddy, Srikanth Reddy, Y S Anil Reddy, Konatala Ramakrishna, D A Somyajulu, Janak Prasad, Putha Prathap Reddy and others participated in the function. UNI
