Washington D.C., Oct.10 : Bill Cosby seems to be in big trouble, with a Massachusetts judge refusing to throw out a defamation suit brought against him by three women.
Earlier this year, Tamara Green, Linda Joy Traitz and Therese Serignese filed suit against the 78-year-old comedian alleging that he defamed them in interviews with media organizations that “impugned” their reputations and subjected them to “public contempt, ridicule, aversion or disgrace, People magazine reports.
Joe Cammarata, who filed the defamation suit on behalf of Green, Traitz and Serignese, was happy with the judge’s decision.
‘The Cosby Show’ star’s attorney, Marty Singer, called the accusations “absolutely false”, “unreliable” and “untimely.”
Cosby has more than 50 charges of drugging and sexually assault against him filed by women.
One of them is Judy Huth, who filed a civil suit claiming the comedian sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974 when she was 15. (ANI)
