More MLAs heading towards TRS, worries for TD, Cong multiplied

Going ahead with its Operation Akarsh, the ruling TRS on Thursday managed for two more Congress MLAs and a former legislator into its fold.

The two Congress MLAs who met chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and reportedly held discussions with him, expressed their readiness to join the pink party. The two MLAs are K Yadaiah, who represents Chevella (SC) constituency in Ranga Reddy district, and senior Congress leader Redya Naik, who represents Dornakal in Warangal district.
Redya Nayak said that, “After suffering injustice for sixty years, Telangana is now hoping to emerge as a strong state because of KCR’s leadership. We want to support him.”

Meanwhile, Alarmed by the development, the Congress leadership sprang into action and issued showcause notice to both Redya Nayak and Yadaiah. Party spokesperson Sravan Dasoju said a meeting of the co-ordination committee had been called on Friday to discuss the issue.

Dasoju said that, “KCR is indulging in undemocratic practice to lure the MLAs from the opposition parties. As we have to stop the menace, the Congress co-ordination committee will meet of Friday to deliberate on it.”

They decided to join the TRS as Chandrasekhar Rao is the only capable leader who can develop the state into Bangaru Telangana. The leaders are likely to join TRS at a meeting to be held in Warangal soon. It is also learnt that the TPCC had issued show-cause notices to the leaders asking them to explain about their ‘anti-party activities.’ The MLAs said that, emerging out of the meeting
