Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today said that ” I believe in the dictum that what is morally wrong is also politically wrong.” Delivering the Independence Day speech after unfurling the National Flag as part of the 66th Independence Day celebrations at police parade grounds at Secunderabad here, the Chief Minister said he the Congress government in the state was striving hard for welfare of the common people, particularly downtrodden on the lines of Mahatma Gandhi’s ideology, he asserted and said the Congress government in the state would continue to work for welfare of the all sections of people in equal manner. The state government was also taking steps to promote communal harmony in the state by launching several initiatives to maintain it, the Chief Minister said. The state government was planning to develop the all regions and people in equal manner without any partiality, he said, adding the benefit of the welfare schemes launched by the state government should reach the beneficiaries with cooperation of all the section people and the state government was working on these lines by taking everyone into confidence. Stating that the law and order situation was under control and the government was taking all steps to maintain peace by controlling the terrorist activities and other mischievous elements, he said the state government would not compromise on the law and order situation in the state.
