Mr. Zahid Ali Khan Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily told that the economy of the Muslim community is deteriorated day by day. Inviting more than 20 guests in marriages is spendthrifness. It is nothing but hypocrisy. He lamented the Muslims are wasting their hard earn money on baseless desires.
Mr. Zahid Ali Khan was addressing a huge gathering at Sana’a Garden near Charminar in connection with 20th Du Ba Du programme yesterday. He told that in the entire world to find better matrimonial alliances has become a very crucial programme for the Muslim community. We forget the commands of Allah and the Traditions of Prophet Mohammed (SAWS) on the occasions of marriage. Due to illegitimate rites and rituals, many conflicts are arriving in Muslim houses. He stressed the need for the Muslims to make marriage easy. He also requested which parents to arrange the weddings of poor and destitute girls on the occasion of celebrating the marriages of their sons and daughters.
He desired that Du Ba Du programme should be organized in districts also. Maulana Syed Murtuza Ali Soofi advised a Muslim community to make marriages easier and to follow the traditions of Prophet Mohammed (SAWS). He stressed the need for the young Muslims to insist to their parents not to demand dowry from the brides. So long as youngsters do not exhibit moral courage and Islamic spirit, it is not possible to bring about any revolution in Muslim community. He quoted the tradition of Prophet Mohammed (SAWS) that a marriage in which least expenditure is incurred is appreciable. He told that youngsters to select brides on the basis of nobility of families and good moral character and not to give importance to appearance.
Mr. Syed Jaffar owner of Sana’s Garden told that the Du Ba Du programme has become a movement for making Muslim marriages easier. He further said that those who cooperate in good deeds, Allah help them and makes things easier. He also stressed the need to pay attention to good behavior, pleasing manners duty and religiousness have been given importance in Islam. It is regrettable that the families of grooms try to extract as much money as possible from the brides families. Mr. Abid Siddiqui, President the MDF presided over the meeting. He informed that so far 20 Du Ba Du programmes organized and more than 2000 marriages have been finalized.
