Moong, urad move up on rising demand, gram eases

New delhi: Prices of moong and urad strengthened by Rs 100 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market on rising demand from retailers.

However, gram and its dal remained weak on muted demand.

Traders said rising demand from retailers helped moong and urad prices to strengthen.

In the national capital, moong and its dal chilka rose by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,900-5,100 and Rs 5,400-5,600 per quintal. its dal dhoya local and best quality traded higher by a similar margin to Rs 6,000-6,500 and Rs 6,500-6,700 per quintal.

Urad and its dal chilka local also advanced by Rs 100 each to Rs 6,400-7,400 and Rs 6,700-6,800 per quintal. Its dal best quality and dhoya enquired higher by a similar margin to to Rs 6,800-7,300 and Rs 7,200-7,500 per quintal.

On the other hand, gram, gramdal local and best quality remained weak and shed another Rs 100 each to Rs 7,000-7,400, Rs 7,900-8,200 and Rs 8,300-8,400 per quintal respectively.
