Riyadh: Saudi authorities announced that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Sunday. This announcement was made after the moon was sighted in different parts of Saudi Arabia. Sighting of Moon marks the start of the month of ‘Shawwal’.
According to the report published in Arab News, Khalid Al-Zaaq, a member of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences confirmed that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated on Sunday in Kingdom.
According to India.com report, Moon has sighted in Malaysia and Indonesia also. In India, Moon was sighted in Kerala and Mangalore.
As the moon is sighted in these regions, along with Saudi Arabia and Middle East countries, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kerala and Mangalore would celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow.
Rest of India is expected to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on Monday, 25th June.
