Hyderabad: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) introduced Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). This program will be implemented through Study Webs of Active-Learning for Young Aspiring Minds (SWAYAM).
According to the report published in Telangana Today, under MOOCs, online courses by the professors of Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) etc will be made available.
It may be mentioned that JNTU-H has introduced MOOCs in all its constituent and affiliated colleges.
It will help B.Tech third year of R16 batch in selecting open electives from the list approved by Chairpersons of Board of Studies of the University.
Giving the details, Mr. B.N. Bhandari, Director of Academic and Planning, JNTU-H said that MOOCs is started following the guidelines of the UGC, AICTE and Ministry of Human Resource Development.
Now, B.Tech third year second-semester student can not only choose from open electives in the curriculum offered by the university but also from the list of MOOCs courses listed by the university.
