Monsoon moving briskly in state

The north-westerly monsoon that has entered Andhra Pradesh is moving briskly. The monsoon has touched the AP coast from Rayalaseema, Mahbubnagar in Telangana and Bapatla in the coastal region and spreading to other areas.

The Cyclone Warning Center here stated that the low pressure formed from Odisha to South Tamil Nadu along the AP coast has been steady. Under the influence of these two factors, the weather office has said that several places in the State would experience rains or thunder showers. The Weather office said that there could be average to heavy rains at one or two places. The center said the monsoon might spread throughout the State in two or three days. (NSS)
