Hyderabad: Telangana is set to hit by Monsoon in second week of June, according to Patsdam Institute of Climate Impact Research (PIK). It said Telangana State, which was under grip of heat wave conditions, is all set to receive rains on June 8. The institute study revealed that Telangana State is likely to receive rains from June 8 to 16.
The institute has conducted a research on the possible monsoon arrival and climatic changes, humidity and temperatures. The research team as part of Indo-German project on monsoon effect has compared these factors in Telangana, southern part of Maharashtra, western area of Chattisgarh, Eastern Ghats and Pakistan, central India, Arabia Sea and Bay of Bengal and other localities. The team of scientists also said their previous predictions with tipping element process proved right in 2016 on the rainfall.
