Monday’s meeting is a proof of KCR’s popularity: Jagadish Reddy

Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy on Tuesday claimed that the success of TRS public meeting held on Monday at Parade Grounds was a proof of popularity of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao in Telangana State.

Speaking to media persons at TRS Bhavan here, Jagadish Reddy said that the TRS has become more popular among the masses after coming to power in June last year. He said nearly 10 lakh people from across the State attended the meeting and endorsed the welfare measures being implemented by the government.

Reacting to allegations of TRS luring legislators and other leaders to join the party, Jagadish Reddy claimed that all the leaders were joining on their own to ensure development of their constituencies. He said that the TRS have sufficient numbers to stay in power and therefore, it does not need to buy any legislator. He said that the opposition parties may move in ‘No Confidence Motion’ if they wish to test the TRS strength.

The minister also announced that the TRS would extend all possible help to workers who met with road accidents while coming or returning from the public meeting. (INN)
