Moily decries lawyers jostling with Dinakaran

New Delhi, November 10: Disapproving of the action of some lawyers in Bangalore jostling with Karnataka High Court’s controversial Chief Justice P D Dinakaran and locking up two judges, the Centre today said the judiciary cannot be shaken by “hammering” whatever be the provocation.

Law Minister M Veerappa Moily asked the lawyers to have faith in the constitutional authorities as they were “already seized of the matter” regarding Dinakaran who has been accused of land grabbing.

“Whatever be the provocation, I don’t think the lawyers should take law into their own hands and create a situation to embarass the judiciary and affect its credibility and reputation,” he told PTI here.

Some members of Advocates’ Association of Bangalore (AAB), protesting continuance of Dinakaran as Chief Justice, had yesterday barged into the hall where the judge was holding court and shouted slogans against him.
