Mohammed Yousuf and Niyaz Mohammed Khan got new cycle rickshaws

(Siasat News)“There is not a single road on which we haven’t put our feet”. These were the words spoken by two rickshaw pullers while talking to the staff reporter of Siasat. These comments of Mr. Mohammed Yousuf(65) and Mr. Niyaz Mohammed Khan (70) were published in Siasat Urdu Daily on 10th August.

Impressed by the touchy tale of these rickshaw pullers, the philanthropists of Muslim Ummah offered money to buy new cycle rickshaws for them. Mr. Hameed Iqbal, Engineer, resident of Mehdipatnam came forward to buy cycle rickshaw for both of them.

Meanwhile another philanthropist, from Dubai telephoned and offered the same help. After negotiating with Mr. Iqbal Ahemd, he was requested to take up the responsibility of getting one cycle rickshaw and the other gentleman be given an opportunity to share the expenses of the other cycle rickshaw. Each cycle rickshaw costs Rs.8, 500. Both the sponsors were happy. These rickshaw pullers at the outset thanked Allah that their long-cherished desire was fulfilled. They were thinking of buying a rickshaw for the past 25 to 35 years.

Mr. Mohammed Yousuf and Mr. Niyaz Mohammed Khan thanked Siasat for publishing a report about them. They had not dreamt that somebody would write about them and some philanthropists would come forward to help them. These rickshaw pullers told that they are also thankful to Mr. Zahid Ali Khan, Editor Siasat who published reports about the poor people like them. Other people don’t bother to take care of such poor people. They told that their pleasures would be doubled on the occasion of this Eid. They also thanked the sponsors through Siasat who have helped them.

Mr. Mohammed Yousuf and Mr. Niyaz Mohammed Khan have been pulling rickshaws for the past 35 and 25 years and paying Rs.20 and Rs.15 daily rent for these rickshaws to fulfill the household daily needs of the family. They never thought of buying a new rickshaw. Both these rickshaw pullers have daughters of marriageable age in their houses. They told that they bow their heads on in front of Allah (SWT).

Whatever He does, it is for our benefit only. Mr. Mohammed Yousuf is suffering from piles and his wife is a patient of diabetes. In these adverse circumstances also he continues rickshaw pulling but he never thought of begging from others. With the grace of Allah (SWT) their new rickshaws got prepared within three days. When they were asked as to what is it that they want. They told that they want only rickshaws.

Whatever report is published in Siasat, its effect is very encouraging and its readers come forward to extend their help. It is the grace of Allah (SWT) that Siasat gets encouragement from every nook and corner of the world. Siasat has always tried to wipe out the tears found in the eyes of the poor and it has made an attempt to remove disappointment. Siasat has also drawn the attention of the people to take advantage of the Govt. schemes meant for the Muslims. The objective of Siasat is the prosperity of the Muslims Ummah. It is marching ahead to achieve this goal with the blessings of its readers.
