Mohammed Shami demands gunman for security

The Indan pacer Mohammed Shami has asked for a gunner for his security after claiming that he received death threats from his wife.

Earlier this year, Hasin Jahan had filed a complaint against her husband, accusing him of extra-marital affairs and domestic violence.

However, Mohammed Shami had later denied these accusations by his wife, and after a cricket-related investigation by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the 28-year-old was given a central contract.

The latest news is that Shami has submitted an application to the District Magistrate of Amroha for a gunner while the District Magistrate Hemant Kumar has asked him to complete the formalities on the application. He is back in India and now, preparing for the two-Test series against West Indies, he has been looking to better his security.
