Hyderabad: Mohammed Saleem opposed penalty on property tax in Telangana Legislative Council and demanded to waive it off. Mohammed Saleem said the penalty is being levied on non-payment of property tax which is increased on a frequent basis. If the government waives it off the government revenue will be increased. He said people should be relieved from the burden of property tax penalty. He also demanded implementation of VRS scheme to regularize unauthorized buildings. He said the applications of VRS scheme are waiting for clearance of their applications for the past three years.
