Mohammed Manzoor, pilot of 108 Ambulance

Mohammed Manzoor Siddiqui is the pilot of 108 ambulance. He swiftly shifts patients in need to the hospital. Manzoor has passed SSC. He is the son of Mohammed Ibrahim and resides in Jahanuma. Before working for 108, he was the driver for AV Surya Narayan Raju TDP MLA. He served there for 9 years and later joined 108 ambulance. 108 ambulance provides services free of cost for any patient or injured in accident . The ambulance has a pilot and an assistant who are given complete training of first aid.

Mohammed Manzoor works for 12 hours a day. He recalled that on May 18, 2007 when he was at Charminar suddenly he heard the sound of explosion. When he reached Makkah Masjid, people beat him badly still he did 4 trips from Makkah Masjid to Asra Hospital. That day he lifted 4 dead bodies in his hands.

Owner of Satyam Computer and Chairman Ram Linga Raju gave award to Mohammed Manzoor for serving while Makkah Masjid blast. Later Deputy Commissioner Police also gave award to him. Manzoor also told that he was also awarded by former Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and the then district collector.
