Hyderabad: Mohammed Mahmood Ali today takes charge as Home Minister of Telangana State. Ali earlier offered special prayers at Yusifian Dargah in Nampally and came to Secretariat and took the charge as the new home minister of the state at his chambers here. On winning a landslide victory in the recent polls, the TRS boss K Chandrasekhar Rao took over as the chief minister and picked his close aide Mahamood Ali for the top post of the home minister and is to expand the cabinet likely by Dec end. Earlier, N Narasimha Reddy was the home minister who did not get a ticket by the TRS leadership in the recently held Assembly polls.
Later talking to presspersons, the home minister extended thanks to the chief minister for giving him a great responsibility of law and order in the state. I will push for people friendly police services and work as per KCR directive he added.
