Government has confirmed that term of Chief Executive Officer Waqf Board Mohammed Asadullah will continue till October 27, 2016. Secretary Minority Welfare Department has sent a letter to Waqf Board in this connection.
Government through GO RT 60 had appointed Mohammed Asadullah as Chief Executive Officer Waqf Board on March 22, 2015, for a period of one year. Later Waqf Board was divided between both the states after which GO MS 45 was issued on October 28, 2015 appointing Mohammed Asadullah for a period of one year.
Chief Executive Officer soon after the completion of one year as per the first GO, sought clarification whether his term will be according to the 1st GO or the 2nd GO. On this Secretary Minority Welfare confirmed that Asadullah’s term will continue till October 27, 2016.
