New Delhi, April 22: Two Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states –Narendra Modi and B S Yeddyurappa — were conspicuous by their absence at a party rally here against price rise.
Party chief Nitin Gadkari had asked all state units to mobilise party supporters in large numbers for the rally where all BJP Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers and other top leaders were expected to attend.
However, BJP gave no reasons for the absence of Modi and Yeddyurappa.
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi and Jharkhand Deputy Chief Minister Raghubar Das attended the protest rally.
