BJP senior leader and Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu today said the desire and dreams of Telangana people have been realized because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing party workers at State party office here.on Saturday, Venkaiah Naidu said the Congress party had announced Telangana State just before the general elections as it was afraid of Narendra Modi. “Election manifesto is like Bhagavatgita for us and his party would fulfill all its promises”, he said.
Naidu, who is Union Minister for Urban Development and Parliamentary Affairs, reminded that it was BJP which had said that Hyderabad should be in Telangana. “There was some confusion due to provocative comments. BJP would protect the interests of all those who are staying in Hyderabad and nobody should be afraid of”, he added.
Naidu said the State government should cooperate with the Centre if Telangana was to be developed. Some people have been trying to gain politically by creating confusion. He said BJP was given us more responsibility to meet the aspiration of the people.
Earlier, Venkaiah Naidu was given a warm welcome at Begumpet airport when he arrived from Delhi. He came in a rally to the State office at Mozamjahi market from Begumpet airport. Secunderabad MP Bandaru Dattatreya, MLAs Dr K Laxman, Prabhakar, Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, Raja Singh and former Union minister Krishnam Raju were also present. (NSS)
