‘Modi using surgical strikes to divert attention from failure’

New Delhi: Senior Congress leader Mohan Prakash accused the Narendra Modi government of “highlighting” the surgical strikes conducted by the Army across the LoC, to “divert” peoples attention from its “failure”.

“The Modi government has failed on all fronts. From attacks to rising inflation. Therefore, the government is trying to divert public attention by highlighting the surgical strikes,” he alleged at a meeting here yesterday.

The Army had conducted surgical strikes on terror launchpads across the LoC on on the intervening night of September 28 and 29, inflicting “significant casualties” on terrorists preparing to infiltrate from PoK.

Prakash exuded confidence that Congress will put up a good show in the Uttar Pradesh elections next year as party vice-president Rahul Gandhis Kisan Yatra was positively visible.
