Modi slams congress for faulty method of dividing AP

Gujarat Chief Minister and BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi was very critical about the way Andhra Pradesh was being bifurcated.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, Modi said separate Telangana State was realized after hundreds of persons, including students sacrificed their lives and everybody should welcome it. He thanked all those who helped and cooperated in getting Telangana State. But, he strongly criticized the process being adopted by the Congress for bifurcation of the State. “Seemandhra region is an important region and the bifurcation process is like “Saving life of daughter and killing her mother”, he quipped.
Besides re-building of Telangana State, BJP also keen on development of Seemandhra region, he said. Modi alleged that the Congress chose to divide the State only for votes and seats and destroyed the Seemandhra region knowing that it would not get a singe vote in that region. Stating that he would visit Seemandhra region soon, Modi said Congress would be wiped out from Seemandhra due to its misdeeds. He assured that his party would render justice to both regions. (NSS)
