Modi says no to ordinance on Ram temple

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday ruled out any ordinance on Ram temple. In an interview to ANI, he made it clear that any decision on bringing an ordinance on the construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya could be considered only after the judicial process got over.

Alleging that the judicial process was being slowed down because Congress lawyers were creating “obstacles” in the Supreme Court, Mr Modi said, “We have said in our BJP manifesto that a solution would be found to this issue under the ambit of the Constitution.”

Narendra Modi’s statement on the issue of Ram Mandir comes at a time when the RSS chief and deputy chief have publicly demanded ordinance for the construction of Ram Mandir. It must be noted that BJP and RSS leaders have been demanding an ordinance on Ram Mandir.
