Modi questions IPL officals over pitch swap

Jaipur, May 09: The former IPL chief Lalit Modi seems to have stirred the hornet’s nest as he questioned the last minute change of pitch at Sawai Mann Singh stadium for Monday’s crucial encounter between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings.

Modi had tweeted regarding the change of pitch questioning the IPL officials. Even Shane Warne confirmed this during the pre match discussion. He said “1st time in 4yrs we got told what wicket to play on – strange? Average score in Jaipur is 154 ground men has / does a great job.”

Apparently, the pitch for the game has been changed at the last moment, from the centre strip to another one.

Modi also stated that the home team was not given the desired pitch and asked why Rajasthan had to play on a particular track. Modi even went to the extent of saying that this last minute change could be collusion by “power that be” helping Chennai Super Kings.
