In a rare distinction of sorts, Telangana Government on Sunday got a pat from Prime Minister Narendra Modi for its initiative on using non-conventional energy resources.
During a program in the national capital, Modi made a special mention of Telangana State, which is known for making persistent efforts to use alternative energy sources. Telangana Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy received the award. Modi asked the Telangana government to make use of 13th finance commission funds to achieve more such better results.
Reacting to Modi’s pat, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao thanked the PM. KCR also said the Prime Minister’s appreciation is a source of inspiration to Telangana Government to move ahead in the energy sector. (NSS)
